Please mark your calendars!!  The next fabulous joint APHEO-OPHEN conference is booked for May 27-28 at the Waterfront Conference Centre in Hamilton, Ontario! We are looking forward to another time to connect, learn, and innovate with colleagues!

Conference Title: Exploring New Horizons and Charting a Course for Public Health

Conference Goal: Participants will enhance their ability to effectively respond to emerging public health issues and navigate the evolving public health landscape in Ontario.

Conference Objectives:

• Share innovative methodologies in population health assessment, surveillance, performance measurement, and evaluation.

• Promote continuous quality improvement and strategies for efficiency and effectiveness in public health practice.

• Explore strategies for adapting to the changing public health context and responding to emerging public health issues.

• Strengthen cross-disciplinary connections and knowledge exchange through sharing examples of work, self-reflection, and lessons learned.

Event cost:

We are estimating that general admission will be about $250 plus HST.

Hotel booking:

PLEASE NOTE: we have a limited number of rooms blocked off at the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel (only 30 per night). We encourage people to RESERVE HOTEL ROOMS in advance!  Most hotels will cancel without a fee, so better safe than sorry!

Registration:

We are going to open registration soon.

The Waterfront Centre is a 6-minute drive from the downtown cluster of hotels, including the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel.  If someone is travelling via public transportation, we hope through networking we can arrange for people to carpool from the hotel(s) to the Waterfront Centre.
